AI Games – The Rise of Generative AI in Video GamesAI Games – The Rise of Generative AI in Video Games

Sikkim App have come a long way in the last few years and look set to continue expanding. Whether it’s a new way of interacting with NPCs or creating worlds that evolve based on your play style, generative AI is transforming gaming to be more personalized than ever before.

This year we have seen an explosion of generative AI in video games. From a sci-fi space station where players can investigate the disappearance of the crew to an Alice in Wonderland social roleplaying game populated by NPCs that talk to you, developers are incorporating generative AI to bring their projects to life.

But while generative AI has the potential to create a more personal experience, it also raises copyright concerns that could limit its use in future games. The tools used to train generative AI models are often scraped from the internet and if they’re not careful, studios could run into issues with mass copyright infringement. For this reason, some studios are exploring systems that train on their own data and third parties advertise ethical tools to work off authorised sources, but for now, generative AI is a limited tool.

But despite the limitations, generative AI is making its way into more games. Cygnus Enterprises recently updated their cross-genre shooter to include a generative AI companion character that reacts to the player’s actions. And the augmented reality generative game Wol allows players to talk to a redwood forest’s resident owl and learn about its ecosystem.
